Publichouse.sg has been online just a little over 3 months. It is a little infant which all of us here are handling with much care. ;)

We would first and foremost like to express our thanks to you for your support. It has been a good 3 months for us. In that short period, we have achieved a certain level of recognition - not just of the name of our website but more importantly of the kind of work that we do. It heartens us here at publichouse.sg that you have helped us spread the word.

If you were looking for any reports in our local newspapers about the commemoration of International Human Rights Day, which fell on the 10 of December, Saturday, you would have found nary a whimper of it.

Celebrated around the world, the day marks the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) by the United Nations in 1948 in Paris.

The Singapore government has always shied away from expressing any overt support for the declaration.

Wisdom has traditionally been passed through conversations and stories from one generation to the next. In times of war, conflict, or merely self-doubt, elders were sought out for their sagacity and advice.  However, with the progression of technology, young people have begun to rely on the Internet for answers; youth still respect and love their grandparents, but they sometimes forget that they have an entire life’s worth of experience and knowledge.
