"I am well" : Lawyer M Ravi

The following is a short excerpt of an exclusive interview which publichouse.sg had with lawyer M Ravi. On Monday, it is understood that a representative from the Law Society had turned up at the High Court, where Mr Ravi was presenting arguments on a case before Justice Philip Pillai, seeking the Court to disallow Mr Ravi from continuing to act in Court. The Law Society representative is believed to have had with him a letter from Mr Ravi's doctor stating that Mr Ravi was "unfit to practice law".

In the interview with publichouse.sg, Mr Ravi rubbished the allegation or suggestion.

We will have a fuller report and video of the interview later.

Simgapore Medical Council, not SMA, is the place to send complaints against doctors.
Is it really necessary to complain against him? Nobody is going to see a psychiatrist who can't keep his patients confidentiality. He's already punished.

Does that mean my psychiatristic can write in to my boss to say that he thinks I am not fit for my job cause I am (fill in the blank)? Under What circumstances is it pressing enough for him to do that? When is the line crossed?

Thus far, my feel is the political machination has evolved from using the ISD to using the courts to now the IMH.

So doctor-patient confidentiality does not apply to political opponents of PAP??

Why did the psychiatrist furnish supposedly confidential patient information to the Law Society?

The ball is now in the Singapore Medical Association's court. SMA should investigate the psychiatrist and censure him!!

Law society can anyhow budge in one meh? i wonder if there is any entity that can formally censure the law society for this misconduct in court?
